Applications Director - Enterprise Imaging Applications

Directs and is accountable for the full systems development life cycle management of enterprise applications for both support services and implementations adhering to enterprise data/process standards. Directs ongoing support and services of the software, environments, and processes required to ensure data quality and integrity. Monitors functionality of the software and its use within the Sutter Health affiliates, paying particular attention to evolving best practices for distribution across affiliates.


**Looking for a dynamic experienced leader who has a strong background in clinical Imaging applications support and implementation. Needs to be a change agent and strong understanding of Service Management.**

**Leadership responsibilities for all Imaging applications and Service Lines. Lead teams who provide support to customers across Sutter for Imaging applications; responsible for budget, HR duties and assist with projects.**

Combination of IT and/or healthcare operations work experience, with at least five years of leadership experience, in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level managements and key stakeholders as typically acquired in 11 to 14 years.

Management and leadership experience within an information technology context working and managing complex implementation projects including systems analysis, project management, resource allocation, budget development and vendor management.

Experience in the healthcare industry working with business, Laboratory, Radiology, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physician Management software applications strongly preferred.

Advanced technical and business knowledge in software development life cycle, quality assurance, project management and other related disciplines/processes.

Proven track record in implementing applications and systems in multiple sites, vendor selection and installation.

Experience working directly with a vendor especially in the area of applications development and implementation is advantageous.

Background in ambulatory care and/or managed care is desirable.

Clinical background is helpful.

Knowledge and understanding of technological hardware and software needs in Laboratory, Radiology, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Physician Management areas.

Good understanding of information technology needs in healthcare operations (hospitals, clinics, medical offices, etc.).

Good understanding of business operations and financial management processes.

Good managerial and leadership skills and abilities.

Strong interpersonal, presentation and written communication skills.

Good analytical skills in identifying trends, needs and issues.
