Job Description



We are looking for a passionate social media enthusiast willing to commit their talents to Travis Credit Union's HR Team and Internship Program. Throughout the summer you will take part in company and internship events, experience our culture and share your experiences and those of other TCU interns on social media. This position requires someone who can execute on 'out of the box' content, is creative and enjoys working with other social media influencers. The ideal candidate has the natural ability to tell a story on social platforms, the creativity to take exciting photos and make fun videos and content for Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and other social media channels. This individual would also find it second nature to engage with their audience online, managing community discussions and responding to comments and questions from followers and members.


Title: Intern - Social Media (1 position) Location: Travis Credit Union Corporate Headquarters - 1 Travis Way Vacaville, CA. Hours: Full-Time 40 hrs/wk, Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm. Program Dates: 12 weeks, beginning June 18, 2018 Pay Rate: $13.50 per hour



Required Skills




+ Must be a Junior (by fall of 2018), Senior, New Grad or Post-Graduate.


+ Majors: Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Social Media or equivalent field of study.


+ Must have a current GPA of 3.0 or higher.




Required Experience




+ Have sharp written and verbal communication skills. Be able to connect, communicate and collaborate with TCU employees at all levels from Interns to Executives.




+ Work with HR to post about employee events, engagement and showcase why TCU is an 'employer of choice' in the communities we serve.




+ Know your social media. Make sure you know what's happening every day and what content belongs on each social media channel.




+ Generate, edit, publish and share content that builds meaningful connections and encourages the public to like, comment, share, re-tweet and follow TCU.




+ Build a relationship with the other interns and capture their experiences.




+ Possesses professional awareness, knows the difference between being 'the face of the company' and their own individual online personality --clearly navigate the difference between the two.
